Context
During the UX design master at Talent Garden, I faced the personal project to design a financial and and phishing protection app in 4 weeks.
Challenge
Design an app for financial management that offers protection against phishing, budget management tools, and an educational approach through gamification to prevent online fraud.
Process
structured UX Research and Design methodology, divided into 4 weeks:
Research Phase:
Desk Research: Gathered data from Ansa, IPSOS, Banca d’Italia, and Consob.
Benchmark Analysis: Compared financial tools and phishing prevention solutions.
User Interviews: Conducted 10 interviews with users aged 18-65, including varying levels of financial literacy and a fraud investigator.
Web Observation: Analyzed user behaviors and interactions with similar tools.
Define Phase:
Synthesized insights into Personas and mapped the Customer Journey to identify pain points. Key findings included:
1 in 5 users doesn’t follow any financial management rules.
85% expressed interest in economic education.
10 million individuals have experienced digital breaches.
Ideation & Prototyping:
Developed core features to address user needs:
Notification System: Alerts users about suspicious SMS or emails.
Budget Management: Tracks expenses, monitors goals, and offers personalized suggestions.
Investment Screening: Aggregates trusted platforms for informed decision-making.
Gamified Learning: Educates users about online scams through interactive challenges.
Created wireframes and a functional prototype.
Presentation & Pitch:
Delivered a structured pitch highlighting user insights, design solutions, and the app’s impact.
Outcome
Prevenio offers a holistic financial management solution that enhances security, educates users through gamification, and empowers them to achieve financial goals
Conclusion
By integrating user research and strategic design, Prevenio responds to the increasing need for digital security. Its intuitive features and educational approach make financial management accessible, secure, and engaging.
