Description

Description

The logo design combines several key elements: the origins of the name Drottningholm, the legacy of Queen Hedwig Eleonora, and the palace's unique location by the lake.

The name 'Drottningholm' ('Queen’s Islet') originates from the original Renaissance-style stone palace built by John III of Sweden for his queen, Catherine Jagiellon.

The logo aims to convey the concept of an island fit for a queen. It incorporates the queen's initials, mirrored to create symmetry, while also capturing the movement of the lake’s water, symbolically transforming it into a flowing banner that represents the royal residence.
